Women of the Well
Dear Parishioners
Well, it’s officially Spring! As we step out of the slower, quieter months of winter, we sense the Spirit stirring something new in the hearts of the women in our community. Just as the earth begins to blossom again, we’re reminded of God’s gentle invitation to awaken, to stretch, and to notice the new growth being brought forth in us. We are so excited about what the new season is bringing for you and for Women of the Well. Take a breath, lean in and read on…
Blessings,
Tricia, Annie and Ree ~ the Soul Sisters

Tricia's time with Jesuit Refugee Services
As you know, on the 19 August, Tricia was invited to share the closing reflection and meditation at the forum on "The Role of Religious Communities in Preventing Gender-Based Violence" for Jesuit Refugee Services.
We want to pass on Tricia's thanks and appreciation for the prayers offered for her. She finished moving out of her home on Monday at 8:30pm and was at Parramatta by 9am on Tuesday for the Conference!
We are happy to share that despite the busy week, she had the energy and focus needed for a day of important and confronting input. The issues around gender based violence in our migrant and refugee communities is complex and challenging, requiring compassionate and skilled leadership. We need our religious leaders to speak out strongly against any form of gender based violence.
Tricia offered the final meditation, which invited delegates to reflect on their experiences of the day, and discern actions they could consider to support ways of raising awareness of the issues involved.
As we share this, we also want to state that Women of the Well raise our voices against all gender based violence, and strongly support our religious leaders in opposing it loudly and publicly.
What we hear our Community loves about u
At Women of the Well, we often hear the same words echoed back after a retreat: “refreshing, life-giving and deeply connecting.”
If you’ve never been to a retreat before, this is a glimpse of what the Spirit might have in store for you: moments of stillness, laughter around the table, listening to the Spirit and connection with a like-minded community that reminds you you’re not walking alone.
And if you have joined us before, may this video invite you to pause and reflect: What did the Spirit stir in your heart at the Well? How has that seed continued to grow in your life since?
We invite you to watch, reflect and consider what it might mean for you to return, or perhaps to share your experience with another woman who needs this same refreshment.
