Laudato Si’ Week
Laudato Si' Week 2026 will be celebrated from May 17–24, 2026, with the theme "From Hope to Action". This annual global Catholic event commemorates Pope Francis's encyclical on care for creation, inviting communities to engage in prayer, reflection, and concrete actions to protect the environment.
Key details for 2026 include:
Theme: "From Hope to Action," focusing on transforming ecological hope into daily actions.
Key Date: The, 2026 Creation Care Commissioning will be held online on May 23, 2026.
Purpose: To celebrate the anniversary of the encyclical and encourage the next steps in
ecological conversion.
As we approach Laudato Si week, we have two opportunities to share with the Parish.
CARDONER WALK AT RIVERVIEW
Cardoner Walk at Riverview on Sunday May 17th from 10.30 to 12.00.

The global Laudato Si’ Movement has named its theme for 2026 as From Hope to Action – turning deepened hope into bold collective action. They invite our global community to keep building a Church awake to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor—rooted in prayer, shaped by encounter, and committed to ecological conversion. JISA’s Being with God in Nature team are delighted to bring you a four-week online retreat to deepen this theme, during May 2026.
