Cana Communities will visit Parish Masses on Sun 7 Sept.
Cana Communities is a not-for-profit charity working with men and women who are experiencing homelessness, addiction, imprisonment, mental health issues and other barriers that have prevented them from creating a positive life for themselves.
They offer hospitality and care, in places where people can come together - to be safe, to be welcomed, to be accepted and to belong - providing the opportunity for lives to be rebuilt.
Many of you will be familiar with Cana, the charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in inner city Sydney. For many years, until Covid, the parish supported its Teresa House overnight crisis accommodation with weekly rostered volunteers. A representative from Cana will speak briefly after each mass on 7 Sept about their ongoing initiatives. https://www.cana.org.au/
