logoWelcome Miho and Miki Hachigo!

A warm welcome to Miho and Miki Hachigo who will play the piano at our 9am Family masses on an alternating basis.

Miho and Miki are a mother and daughter team who have agreed to share this ministry.

So, calling all our singers and musicians from the 9am community! Come and support Miho and Miki and share your gifts with us to boost our music ministry.

At the 10 weekend masses held at St. Mary’s there are four main masses which have music. The musical environment at St Mary’s is unique in that each Mass time offers a completely different congregational environment.

The 9.00am Family Mass brings together children of all ages with their families.
Actions in the hymns, a children’s choir, and instruments are all part of the musical liturgical environment.

The 10.30am Sunday mass takes us to a more traditional setting with a male quartet and a men’s choir every second Sunday accompanied by the big pipe organ in the choir loft.

The Sunday night carries a Youth mass every month with young singers, uplifting music and an energy only known in the young otherwise the Sunday night is a quieter more reflective mass with beautiful music.

The Saturday vigil is a mix of contemporary and traditional, using both organ and piano with a small choir.

Big events at St. Mary’s such as Easter and Christmas, Celebrations, Spiritual Events bring together the adult choir which numbers about 45.

Men's Choir:
2nd Sunday of the Month 10.30am Mass and fifth Sunday Lavender Bay 9.30am Mass.
Not to mention other wonderful events such as marriages, spirituality night, special events, concerts, etc.
A great range of music and a wonderful group of men who love their music and their red wine. ( a treat at
the end of choir). If you would like to be part of this group please come and join us.
Location: St Mary's Church
Rehearsals: Every Tuesday at 7.45pm.

As we expand and improve what we do at the Parishes of Our Lady of the Way we are seeking new musicians and singers who can deliver musical ministry to our parish.

There are nine different congregations that attend mass each weekend within our parish. Each of these has a specific need and style that suits the local worshipping community.

We are seeking to provide either relief for some existing musicians and singers, add to what is in place or simply be available as the need may be.

For Musicians

We would like to audition suitable applicants with a view to appoint people into this very important ministry. If you play an instrument, particularly keyboard or guitar and can accompany other singers and musicians at a reasonable quality level; this call is made out to you.

For Vocalists

IF you enjoy singing and wish to join one of the choirs or you can partner with someone else who plays we are interested to hear from you.

If you are able to help, the Parish needs you.
