The Sacrament of Confirmation is offered to young people - Year 6 and above who have been baptised and made their first Holy Communion. The program of preparation allows time to reflect and grow in faith and spirituality. It complements the transition into young adult life. This is an opportunity to choose for oneself the faith received as an infant at baptism. A time to become open to receive and respond to the gifts of the Holy Spirit as a maturing young person.Process of Preparation
The Confirmation program commences with a Mass of Blessing - see below, at St. Mary's Church, 264 Miller Street North Sydney. The Program involves five consecutive weekly sessions. Four of these sessions take place in family homes around the Parish in groups of seven candidates, accompanied by their parents. A 'Gathering Sunday’ takes place in Week 3. All candidates are required to attend with their parents and sponsors. Families welcome.How to Enrol

When 7.30pm, Tuesday 21st September 2010 Where St. Mary's Church, 264 Miller Street, North Sydney At the Parent Information evening you will be able to select your preferred home group and week day of meetings. Weekly home group meetings commence Sunday 17th October 2010
Gathering Sunday - 4pm Sunday 31st October 2010 at La Valla Hall. Marist College North Shore, 270 Miller Street North Sydney, followed by 6pm Youth Mass at St Mary's Church North Sydney.
Confirmation Candidates and their parents must attend the rehearsal which corresponds to their particular date of Confirmation.
