A testimony from Alexis Mc Donald (parent to Tessa a First Holy Communicant)
We are fortunate to have been part of the First Holy Communion program conducted by St Mary’s over the past 3 months. We have attended group sessions led by a fabulously prepared and enthusiastic Group Leader which made the preparation a welcoming experience.
The first 3 sessions involved gaining an understanding of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the importance of saying “sorry”. The following 3 sessions provided us with an understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion and the significance of sharing “a meal” together.
The clouds kindly held their steam for the First Holy Communion held on Sunday 29 May which enabled all the First Communicants to assemble so beautifully on this important milestone in their sacramental development.
The beautifully adorned cakes made for the children to have at the conclusion of the ceremony were much appreciated as was Edwin Galea’s contribution to the success of the day.
