2009 "Footsteps of Iganatius" Pilgrimage Reflections Evening

For me, in many ways the Pilgrimage was a microcosm of life's journey. The variety of experiences, the differences in people and the human and emotional challenges - and most of all - the unanswered questions, were all there.

Tretreats_pic1he "Retreat in Daily Life" has successfully concluded two weeks ago. Aptly named, this "retreat" allows busy individuals to continue with their ordinary everyday routines, but setting aside time during the day for some quiet prayer. This is complemented by "once-a-week" meetings with a spiritual director who help participants through the prayer experience.

 

Daniel MacMahon sought parish sponsorship for a Magis program which took him to the Philippines and a placement which gave him insights into life and his life. He was asked to write of his experience:

In early January this year a number of young people, including myself, embarked on a pilgrimage to the Philippines. It was a pilgrimage which at its core centred on experience . And in terms of experiences there were many.

Using and Responding to Art in the Classroom

Scripture Teachers at our local public schools were treated to a special workshop on how art can be employed in their work by the multi-talented Jo Kenderes.

Congratulations on yet another amazing evening for women (and a few brave men!!) on 25th May. I had not been to one of these evenings until 2008, but after that wonderful experience of hearing the stories of extraordinary women as well as being transported by the beautiful music, I vowed never to miss this event in the future.
