Marque Two - Province Introduction - Loved Just As We Are
Province Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality and Mission Background. In 2009, Fr Steve Curtin SJ , Provincial, mandated the Province Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality and Mission course for all Jesuit ministries, including parishes, schools, mission formation, refugee service and social justice institutions. Ignatius, his story, his way of looking at the world, is at the heart of all these works.
The Province Introduction courses (Marque One and Two) are facilitated by the Loyola Institute. This centre for formation and leadership is committed to sharing Ignatian Spirituality and to helping people to integrate Ignatian spirituality into their life and work. It is a work of the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus.
Marque One Province Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality and Mission
A national two day course which introduces participants to the life of St Ignatius Loyola; his worldview; an approach to ministry based on the Spiritual Exercises; Ignatius' foundational insights; accompaniment as a means for relationships; the governance structures and works of the Society of Jesus in the Australian and New Zealand Province.
Marque Two Province Introduction - Loved Just As We Are
(for participants who have experienced the Marque One Province Introduction in 2010)
Participants will consider the intention, rhythm and central focus of the Spiritual Exercises, their own graced life story, two considerations of the second week grounded on life values and how one lives life in response to those values. The final module establishes a foundation of the Province Call to Mission.
Province Introduction and the Parishes of Our Lady of the Way
As the largest of the 11 Jesuit Parishes in Australia, we are a significant member of the Province's Ignatian ministries. In November 2010 about 20 parishioners, staff and volunteers, participated in the Marque One course at Canisius College, Pymble. 2011 brings more opportunities for interested parishioners to respond to the invitation from Fr Curtin and participate in this important process of formation.
